The project involves the structural assessment and strengthening of an industrial reinforced concrete building in Evia. The building was constructed in the 1960s without seismic specifications, and during its operation it had suffered significant damage due to corrosion as well as the shear failure of some of the beams, due to increased loading. The proposed interventions scheme included the strengthening of all vertical and many horizontal members with shotcrete jackets, as well as measures for the protection of the structure against corrosion.
The study was conducted in 2022. The non-linear static procedure NSP in accordance with the Greek Interventions Code KANEPE and employing pushover analysis was followed with the use of the SeismoBuild software package,
