The project involves the seismic retrofit of an 8-storey building in Quito, Ecuador. It is a reinforced concrete building that was damaged during the 2016 7.8R earthquake of Equador. The strengthening was done with the addition of new RC shear walls and steel braces.
The project was carried out in 2019 with the use of SeismoStruct, employing the Americal ASCE 41-17 Standard.
